DIBELS stands for Dynamic Basic Early Literacy Skills, and was developed by researchers at the University of Oregon. It meets Reading First standards.

With DIBELS, you’ll be able to quickly administer, record, and identify students in need of intervention. DIBELS measures critical early reading skills, predicts how well a child will be doing in reading comprehension by the end of third grade, and identifies those at risk for reading failure.

This 54-minute video, filmed in an actual classroom with professional instructors, allows DIBELS users to see firsthand how the Benchmark and Progress Monitoring assessments are administered.
