Reid Lyon, Timothy Shanahan, and Charlotte Parker discuss how schools and their districts can find the best research-based reading program to meet the needs of their student population and mandates of the new law.

Dr. G. Reid Lyon is chief of the Child Development and Behavior Branch at the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development.

Dr. Timothy Shanahan is director of the University of Illinois at Chicago Center for Literacy.

Dr. Charlotte Parker is the principal of Burbank Elementary, Houston Independent School District.
